  1. Experience – Travel Agents know the best places to stay and things to do and after listening to what you are looking for they can match your needs much better than you can through the internet.
  2. An Advocate – A Travel Agent is your ally.  They are there to help you before, during and after your vacation. If something goes wrong along the way, a travel agent is there to make sure things get smoothed out and your vacation gets back on track.
  3. Resources – Travel Agents have access to tools that you, as a consumer, do not have. In a recent study of online booking engines it was found that only about 60% of all rooms available could be found online. Travel Agents have access to 97% of all rooms. So often a Travel Agent can find you a room where there may not be one available online. They can also find you upgrades, event tickets and plan tours or activities for you.
  4. Convenience – Your time is valuable and trying to find the “perfect” vacation on the internet will take you hours and after all the time you spend online you still may not know that you are booking the right trip. Travel Agents can do all the research and find what you really want to do and see, not what was on a TV commercial. There is a big difference between seeing an ad and actually planning a trip.
  5. Relationships – Travel Agents value their clients and build long-term relationships with them so future trips become easier and easier to plan. After several trips with the same Travel Agent you may be able to just have a short conversation to plan a lengthy trip.
  6. Save Money – Often Travel Agents can find a better deal than you can on the internet. Just as they develop relationships with their clients, Travel Agents also develop relationships with their suppliers. These relationships can save you money. Normally the least a Travel Agent can do is match a price, but often they can find you extras for the same price you have found online and they will always save you the time from looking.
  7. Added Value – There are many add-ons that Travel Agents can get for you at no charge to you. On a cruise, a Travel Agent might be able to get you an extra onboard credit or a bottle of wine in your cabin. For a land vacation, the Travel Agent may be able to get you transfers included for the same price you have found online.
  8. Better Destinations – Travel Agents always know the best time to travel to a destination. They can help you stay away from the busiest times at the most popular destinations and they often know the newest places that you may want to try.
  9. Exclusive Access – Some experiences can only be booked through a Travel Agent. Often tour companies have extras that are only available when you book their tour through a Travel Agent and some things like exotic tours, treks and private jet products are only available through a Travel Agent.
  10. Because They Are Awesome – Travel Agents are some of the most well rounded individuals. They come from all walks of life (Bill was previously a tax accountant.) They love what they do and are passionate about making your vacation the best it can be.

Travel Agents are a great asset for any trip you want to take. I am a Disney expert, my wife and I were actually married at Disney World 18 years ago.
